Peter Vigue, Chairman & CEO Cianbro Corporation:
“As a lifelong resident of Pittsfield, I am invested in bringing the best in healthcare to the region. This is where Carole and I raised our family. This is where our children are raising their families. And this is where the local employees of Cianbro access their healthcare. Sebasticook Valley Hospital is integral to the Sebasticook Valley region for all of us, opening nearly fifty years ago thanks to the tremendous support of local families, individuals, businesses, and civic organizations.

Now, nearly a half century later, it is time to update our hospital’s inpatient unit. What worked so well in 1963 no longer meets our expectations for inpatient rooms for 2012 and beyond. SVH delivers high quality care. Let’s help them deliver it in a space that is designed for optimal care in the coming years for the benefit of our neighbors, our friends, and our families.”

Emily2Emily Cianchette, FNP-BC, SVH Family Care Provider:

“Twenty years ago, I followed in my mother’s footsteps and became a registered nurse. I went on to become a family nurse practitioner, continuing my commitment to caring for the people of our community. Today, the equipment we use to care for patients, the need for patient confidentiality, and the need to prevent infectious diseases, all require us to look to the future just as our founders did nearly 50 years ago, and bring private rooms and super-suites to SVH for the benefit of patients now, and in the future.

I want to continue the mission that was so important to our founders– ensuring quality healthcare close to home. My late grandfather-in-law, Carl Cinachette helped to
establish Sebasticook Valley Hospital in 1963. Nearly 50 years later, I think Carl would be proud of this modernization project.”

Jared1Jared Wilkinson, DPM, SVH Physician:

“The fundamental principles of SVH have always been to provide the highest quality care to the communities of the Sebasticook Valley region. The update to our existing
inpatient facilities will enhance the delivery of optimal care by our dedicated staff and providers. The time has come to bring our facilities to the next level in order to continue to meet the growing healthcare needs of the community.

This rejuvenation project will provide better space, privacy, and delivery of care through technological advancements, ultimately leading to better patient service and experiences. It is this dedication to patient and community health that sets us apart and why SVH continues to lead the way as a model for critical access health systems across the country.”
